Written by Todd Hunter and Johanna Pigott, it was released as the first single from Farnham's 1988 album of the same name. The song topped Australia's ARIA Singles Chart for four weeks and became a hit in New Zealand, where it peaked at number four. At the APRA Music Awards of 1990, the song won the Most Performed Australasian Popular Work award.
I have always loved this song and looked up choral arrangements of the work. To my surprise, there wasn't much out there. So in keeping with the original sound and arrangement of Farnham's version, I have set this for SATB choir and piano but making sure all the call and respose ideas from the original recording are present. I hope you enjoy singing this arrangement as much as I did arranging it.
