Here is the sheet music from my song “A Song To Sing” which is from my CD “No Tan Lines”. This version was re-purposed from a big band version of mine for a Trumpet solo with 13 trumpets. The 4 Trumpets, 4 Trombones and 5 Saxes were re-voiced into 13 Trumpets with the original rhythm section. The lyrics from the original CD are:
Life is a melody that plays on and on, Love is a story that’s played by the strings of my heart.
There are so many different turns and keys,
And so the thread of living keeps weaving its work,
And there’s always a song to sing,
And there’s always a tear to shed,
And there’s always a life to live….
Life is a string to hang the pictures of my soul,
And if the wall remains then I will continue,
To open up myself like a book to be read,
Never ever fearful of what will be said.
