It then grew to become a concert band piece I wanted the piece to teach different aspects of playing concert and solo literature. The first theme uses mixed meter with a driving baseline that floats through all the low voices of the ensemble. The second theme is a flowing theme above a driving syncopated motor. It is relentless with tempo and drives the entire piece.
