A melodically focused, song-like piece, that reflects on the year just gone by. The main melody was taken from a song the composer wrote on New Year's Eve 2017, based on an irish blessing.
The tranquil exposition is later contrasted by a a dramatic increase that culminates back into a reprise of of the main melody, mirroring the past year having been filled with both good and bad experiences, but ultimately expressing a confidence in the coming year to be even better than the last one.
