It is a pastorale set in 12/8 time and has Soprano Sax, Alto Sax 1, and Bari Sax as the voices that break off into soli. A larger number of Alto Sax 2 and tenor Sax 1 and 2 can be utilized. Not out of reach for earlier ensembles, yet Soprano does go high, and Soprano and Alto 1 have a one-bar cadenza (written).
