A Child's Garden of Dreams was written in 1981 for wind ensemble and uses excerpts of Carl Jung's Man and His Symbols in its five movements. A Child's Garden has been performerd hundreds of times by a variety of ensembles and has been recorded on multiple albums. In 1989, Maslanka re-set the work for orchestra, which was premiered almost 20 years later. See Maslanka's website for more information.
