The main aim of this book is to help conductors of medium level ensembles to find repertoire to perform in concerts. Besides original works you will also find transcriptions and marches. The repertoire covers more than 400 years of music history.Besides the compositional structure, the art of orchestration and the originality of the work was a criteria to be included in this list. The authors also tried to cover a wide stylistic variety. Several of these works do have a pedagogical touch.

Kammermusikwerke wurden berücksichtigt ab einer Mindestbesetzung von 6 Spielern. Allein dieser Liste enthaltenen Werke sind im Druck erschienen. Diese Liste ist entstanden aus dem Bedürfnis, auch den Dirigenten von Orchestern der unteren Leistungsstufen Hilfestellung bei der Auswahl der Konzertliteratur zu geben. Neben originalen Bläserwerken finden sich in dieser Auflistung auchBearbeitungen und Marschmusik. Insgesamt werden darin über 400 Jahre der Musikgeschichte abgedeckt.
Cet ouvrage propose une liste de compositions de degré inférieur, choisies parmi près de 300 compositeurs et 26 pays. Les oeuvres pour musique de chambre ont été prises en compte partir de 6 musiciens. Toutes les oeuvres citées ont été imprimées etéditées par environ 100 éditeurs du monde entier. Cette liste est née du besoin de nombreux chefs d`orchestre d`être soutenus dans leurs choix de littérature pour concert de niveau inférieur. La liste comprend des oeuvres originales pour orchestre vent ainsi que des marches et des transcriptionsréparties sur plus de 400 ans d`histoire de la musique. Les critères de choix sont définis non seulement par la qualité de la composition mais aussi par l`instrumentation et l`originalité de l`oeuvre.
