Nice practice
I started to play this book at the age of 7 my third year of playing. i think it takes you from beginner to advance player. I spend about 4 years with this book then the Mazas and Kayser followed. This book is also good to use for repetitive bow technique excessive. My teacher used it in lots of way. With the Sevcik technical school this was good practivce.

very good studies for violin
getting this Wohlfahrt book 1 to supplement the abcs of violin method books 1, 2 and 3 is really ideal if you want a solid foundation starting from scratch. I highly recommend it for children and adults alike. same for viola students.
