Instrumental Duet, Soprano Recorder, Tenor Recorder - Level 2 - Digital Download
SKU: A0.579147
Composed by Charles H. Gabriel and Traditional. Arranged by David Warin Solomons. This edition: audio, pdf. Praise & Worship, Sacred. 10 pages. David Warin Solomons #2343437. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.579147).
These are based on my arrangements of six public domain Christian hymns originally written for penny whistle and flute.
I have done versions for
soprano and alto recorder,
two equal C recorders (soprano or tenor)
and
2 equal F recorders (alto recorders).
(The 2 equal F recorder versions could also work on bass recorders).
In each piece the tune is carried by the top instrument in the first half with the other instrument providing a countermelody and in the second half they swap
round.
The sound sample is an electronic preview of "His eye is on the sparrow".
The 6 pieces are
Amazing grace
Blessed Assurance
Holy, Holy, Holy (Nicaea)
His eye is on the sparrow
Be Thou my vision (Slane)
Victory in Jesus
