Title: 4 to 1
Three Movements: 3 in 2 in 1, 2 in 1, 1
Length: mov't 1: 3'. mov't 2: 4'. mov't 3: 4'.

4 to 1 is for flute (alto flute in mov't 2), cello, and piano. It can also be performed as a trio sonata, with baroque flute, bass gamba, and harpsichord. The title comes from the idea of canons and musical lines; the first movement is three interlocking canons along with solos in each part. 2 in 1 presents the two top parts in complicated solos; the final movement, 1, is strictly a work for the flute, supported by the bottom parts.

This work is quite complex, written for university level.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
