This collection of 20 miniatures is an addition to the methods used with beginners, the goal being to put into practice technical elements in an attractive manner. The rhythmic figures are kept simple, and at the same time there are modal colors typical to Romania. This project has been thought of as a way to give the beginners some more interest for instrumental practice.
Cette série de 20 miniatures constitue une addition pour les méthodes destinées aux débutants, son but est de mettre en pratique des exercices de technique d’une manière attrayante. Les formules rythmiques restent simples tout en ayant plusieurs couleurs modales de la Roumanie. Ce projet cherche à donner aux débutants le goût de la pratique instrumentale.

Great beginner book
So many of the beginner books out there put learners into a fixed C major box with few surprises, but this book throws in sharps and flats all over the place and keeps the beginner on their toes. For that reason, it is a little more difficult, and so I would recommend it as an accompaniment study book to a more traditional programme, just to keep students from acquiring a fixed mentality in the early stages.
