Excellent Satie collection
The great thing about this collection is that you get a huge chunk of Satie's output for a very good price. The bad news is that the printing (quality not style) is fairly lackluster (though still very readable), and the binding is downright terrible. Why Salabert did not spiral bind this thick book is beyond me. You will spend a good amount of time trying to (literally) bend the binding to your will so pages do not turn on their own. However, this is a must have for any Satie fan. The benefits of owning this collection far outweigh the aforementioned issues.

Good works, disappointing edition
Satie is a precursor composer of modern period (he was born in 1899). He has influenced Debussy, Ravel Stranvinsky and others. His music is really accessible and the results are really gratifying. But this edition is not at all the best. The book is very thick, so it often falls on the hands of the player and the pages turn themselves. I have already tried to put clothes pins on the pages but this problem is always here. There is only a small introduction and rares comments of execution. Sometimes, we can see an extract of the autograph manuscript of a work, a photo, a picture or an extract of a Satie's letter. The legibility is low because some pieces were written long ago and have not been rewritten. It misses important pieces of Satie (Croquis et agaeries d'un gros bonhomme en bois and Embryons desschs, etc...). Despite all these problems, it is always pleasant to play a Satie work...
