While a piano solo arrangement, this edition of 'Linus and Lucy' offers a rich, full texture in Ab Major. The '4 to 5-note chords in both hands and scales in octaves' description is accurate, creating a self-sufficient sound. So Fun to Play – Sounds Just Like Peanuts!
I absolutely love playing this 'Linus and Lucy' solo! As an adult learner, I found the late intermediate level challenging but totally achievable with some practice. It sounds exactly like the iconic Vince Guaraldi version from the Peanuts specials, which is incredibly satisfying. Getting those jazzy rhythms down feels so rewarding, and it's just pure fun to play.

A Rewarding Challenge for Intermediate Students
This 'Linus and Lucy' arrangement is a great piece for late intermediate students. The Ab Major key and jazzy syncopations offer excellent rhythmic and reading challenges. While the engraving is clear, I do wish there were more fingering suggestions for those navigating the 4-5 note chords and octave scales. It's an encouraging choice for developing jazz feel and technical proficiency.

Linus and lucy piano solo
This piece of music is great for anyone looking for good practice. The package was beat up and a bit bent but it came out fine except it was packaged weird so when i opened it the sheet music tore a small amount which sucks cause its new, but it looks great the piece itself is beautiful and its definitely a good buy

Bridge Over Troubled Water
I much prefer another arrangement. The bridges in this one do not maintain the style or tone of the whole; they are not written in a manner that makes them sound good with a reasonable amount of effort. Tom Roed arrangement does.

Linus and Lucy
This sheet music for piano is not a beginner's piece by any means with its 4 flats in the key signature and the syncopated rhythms. As a piano teacher of students from kindergarten through high school, I have recently purchased this music for a 7th grader. It will be a challenge to him as far as the 4 flats and syncopation are concerned, but I think that with his rhythmic ability and his participation in NYSSMA festivals at Level IV, he will be able to handle this piece.

Just like the original
I have just started working on this piece, and have only gotten through the first two pages. So far, it sounds just like the real thing! I cannot wait to learn the whole thing and show off at the next family gathering during the holidays--(ha ha, that is what I am hoping, anyway!) I consider myself an early intermediate to intermediate player, but can tell the jazz parts will be challenging, especially the timing since I have zero experience with jazz piano. I have only ever played classical and pop songs. I got the song on itunes so that I can listen again and again, in order to play it correctly. It is very fast, which I think makes it harder as well. But all in all, it is going to be fun to learn. I would recommend it.

Perfect!
All the correct notes and rhythms (from the real version) are there which is nice. I wouldn't reccomend for beginners though it's not too terribly hard once you get the syncopation down. The bass line is also provided for the swing section. The notes are also nice and big.

Sweet yet challenging
This seems to be the original score for the Peanuts movies. I bought it for my daughter, who loves the movie, in the hopes that she'd push herself beyond her ability. She made it through the first couple pages but stagnated. Definitely is designed for late intermediate. Nice arrangement!

Easier than I though so far
I was so excited to get this song and start playing. The timing is challenging (for me), but the notes are fairly easy to read and play (as long as you don't mind four flats). The one thing I don't like about this particular sheet music is the lack of fingering suggestions. Prepare to watch youtube to see how others are playing it for fingering ideas. Otherwise, this is the greatest piano song ever written.
