The lyrics, derived from the encyclical’s title, are from St. Francis of Assisi’s 13 c. poem and prayer, "Canticle of the Creatures/Sun" - God is praised for all creation.
Performance Notes: In addition, you may add an optional accompaniment with Orff instruments playing the tonic and fifth.
