use this bk 3, bk 4, them whistler

I like using this bk then the whistler bks with my students. You'll learn basic 3rd position on all strings. It makes it easier to teach and easier for the student to learn. Highest recommendation.

Wow; this book is great! starts out with spiccato and 4th finger extensions... trills, etc. turn to page 15 and begin learning doublestops. On page 17 you begin 3rd position -- exercises and songs on all strings. Complete with scales in the back of the book. Surprised I can do...

wonderful violin method books

3rd position easily understood here

I was in a fog 'til I got this book. It makes 3rd position easy. Just follow the finger graphs as you go along. It covers all 4 strings.
