Attractive pieces
These are attractive easy to play arrangements of mostly well known pieces. They do tie in well with the methods books in that the overall level of difficulty is about the same, but the match is not perfect. For example, the ragtime Waiting for the Robert E. Lee is full of syncopations, which are introduced only much later in the method books.

Not just for recitals
If you're working through Palmer-Hughes book 3 and want more, slightly longer, songs at about that level, this is the book to get. It's sort of like an expansion pack. Each piece tells you what song in the main book you should have gotten to first, to give you an idea of the difficulty.
