        Favorite Classic Melodies, Level 1

        This is a book to learn literature and sight reading at the same time. Students like trying to sight read some of the familiar tunes, and learning some new ones.

        Because of James Bastien's Favorite Classic Melodies books, I am progressing smoothly. I have confidence. His books are my favorite. I start my practice sessions with level 1 then progress on to the 2nd and 3rd. I am self taught and his books are beautiful as well as beautifully written...

        Great series

        Adult beginner here. I loved the primer level book and have learned the first two or three songs in this one - it's a great series for a beginner of any age.
