Solid Arrangements for Event Play
Keveren's classical takes on Disney tunes are a great addition to my gig book. While primarily piano solo with implied harmonies rather than explicit chord symbols, the arrangements are sophisticated and recognizable for event requests. The 56-page format means some careful page turns, but the quality of the arrangements makes it worthwhile for a professional setting looking for unique, polished repertoire.

Excellent for Developing Students
This collection by Phillip Keveren is an excellent resource for my late intermediate students. The arrangements of Disney classics are engaging and provide valuable exercises in classical technique and expression. The engraving is clear, making it easy to read, and while fingering suggestions aren't exhaustive, the musical phrasing naturally guides good hand positions. Great for reinforcing rhythm and melodic interpretation.

Fun to play!
I often recognized the melodies but it would have been equally “as fun” to know which composer the pieces were attached. Chopin, Bach, Mozart?

Fabulous arrangements, fun to play and listen to!
I have a student learning the Chim-Chim-Cheree from Mary Poppins and it will be ready for his senior recital and I'm sure will be one of the crowd pleasers as it gives the familiar tune with alot of classical pluses throughout!

Crowd Pleasers
One of my students played Chim Chim Cheree on her senior recital and it was an instant hit. It made a nice bridge to classical styles for folks in the audience who were less familiar with Chopin than with Disney. As the German reviewer mentioned, these are take offs that are intended to show/teach the characteristic elements of the styles of well-known composers. In that sense, I think these are wonderful vehicles for introducing students to great composers as well.

One of my favorites!
Keveren's application of a classical style in arranging these Disney songs produced beautiful, unique results. This book, along with his Beatles piano solo book, are two of my all time favorites!
