Perfect Version
I've enjoyed these yellow books since my youth and it is nice to have one of Satie's music.

Still reminds me of yesteryear!
Fun and partially easy and some moderate difficulty.

Exquisite
Prostakoff as editor-Much better than the other Satie book I have. The Schirmer edition is so easy to read --much better way they've written out the chords. Much better explanations of Satie's little hints throughout the pieces. As far as the pieces themselves-Exquisite! These are good teaching pieces for intermediate students or more advanced. The repetitions make it easy to learn. They fit well under a small hand, too. Very good pieces for teaching expression and musicality. Fabulous for teaching a student how to change moods per performance. Really, really good for teaching students to listen and follow by sound instead of just memorization. Besides the fact that these pieces are soulful and luscious---and so easy for advanced students. Advanced students can really experiment with sound w/out being bogged down by difficult reading. These are both joyful and melancholy-whatever mood you're in at the time, they will fit.

Gymnopedie #1
Erik Satie's music is so playable, and clearly popular and frequently heard. I'm glad I ordered this and can enjoy sitting down to play this often. The other two Gymnopedies are good, but the best is #1. Satie's music has a signature sound.

3 Gymnopedies
Gymnopidies, means Pieces in the shape of a pear Strange, don't you think? Number one is very good, but the others are a bit dreary. I consider that Number one is worh learning.
