Love this song A Million Dreams from the movie The Greatest Showman. This is written for cello solo and can be played alongside the recording off of the official soundtrack album. Knowing your G major scale will really help you to play this song, and there are a few notes that go higher, but you can play all of these without having to know thumb position. If you find the higher notes difficult, look for this song but "easy version" in the title. This puts the upper notes in an easier octave to play in. Just remember bowings can always be a personal preference of what works for you.
I always recommend playing along with the recording because it is more fun and you can see how the part fits in. Get ready to soar with this one!
