This is techo
This is VERY techo. I wasn't expecting it to be that serious - for the non-professional jazz player I think it is too technical for what you need to know. But if you want to get into jazz really, really seriously, then I would not go past this book. Everything that needs to be covered sure has been covered.

The only jazz piano book you'll ever need.
Even for someone like myself who often doesn't recommend learning jazz out of books, I make an exception for this one. I can almost guarantee that if you go through this book AS PRESCRIBED - that means playing all the tunes at the ends of the chapters in all keys and practicing all the exercises exactly as he suggests - you'll be at a professional level on jazz piano. I say this because I'm a professional jazz pianist, and most of what I know about jazz piano comes from this book ... and I haven't even gotten through half of it.
