Item Number: H0.253725-953350
Perfect for 60-second time-outs at Basketball games, this 58-second arrangement will have your audience joining in at the chorus with the famously-fun Y-M-C-A moves!
The highly-flexible "BcP-Flex" scoring* imitates the classic rock band sound by using only 4 "instruments/voices" - lead, rhythm, bass, and drums:
Lead: Flute, Clarinets, Alto Sax, Trumpets
Rhythm: Tenor Sax, Horn, Trombone/Euphonium, TC Baritone
Bass: Electric Bass/Tuba, Bari Sax
Drums: The drum set part is not notated as it is often easier to get the drummer to "pick-up" the tune by listening to the original recording/chart.
Parts are formatted to fit in a flip-folder, but will print on letter-sized paper if you prefer to use 3-ring binders.
Easy keys with multiple courtesy accidentals and well-marked rehearsal numbers reduce the amount of time needed in rehearsal and improve performance.
* Other high-energy titles (with actual band recording excerpts) in the BcP-Flex format available here on SMP as digital downloads (search term: BcP-Flex):
Barbara Ann (Beach Boys)
Blitzkrieg Bop (Ramones)
I Got You (I Feel Good) (James Brown)
Low Rider (War)
My Sharona (The Knack)
Oye Como Va (Santana)
Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes)
Tequila (The Champs)
That’s the Way I Like It (KC & The Sunshine Band)

YMCA (Village People)
and a great, simple setting of
The Star-Spangled Banner (USA National Anthem).
(Please forgive any odd word spacings as Sheet Music Plus continues to improve their web software)
Note: If you don't use Electric Bass and that part is not playable by your tubas, send me an email and I will transpose the part and pdf it to you (find contact info at www.bandroom.com). For the few bucks royalty ($3.60!) I end up with if you buy this, I wanted to wait to see if someone purchases it before investing more time. Thanks for understanding.
