written for the concerts of the composer as an organ virtuoso with his trumpet soloist partner, the pieces collected here had a lot of success in the course of three decades. Besides the score a Trumpet part in C and Bb, a Piccolo A part and a part for ad lib. timpani for three of the pieces is included in this edition. In Pavane and Cortege the texture of the opening section allows the soloist to walk to the organist form a distant starting point, thus adding an little choreography to the performance.
