Composed by Henry Purcell. Arranged by Joshua Jun S. Kim. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,World. Score and parts. 8 pages. Joshua S. Kim #3236685. Published by Joshua S. Kim (A0.836029).

The last song from Henry Purcell's most known opera Dido and Aeneas has been arranged for string quintet (or ensemble). Purcell probably wrote the music about 1684-1685, when he was about 26. This chorus song, "With dropping wings, ye Cupids come," is played in act 3, after another famous song by Dido "When I am laid in earth" is performed.

Because the melodies of the violoncello are almost the same with those of the contrabass, this arrangement is also good for string quartet.
