In 2015, Wies de Boeve because the first double bassist to win Germany's National Music Competition, one of the world's most renowned instrumental competitions. Boeve played with passion and it can be heard for the first time here, on this album. With his piano partner Tomoko Takahashi, Boeve performs literature by Gliere, Bottesini Piazzolla and several others.
