“Where Are You Jesus,” the third selection written for S.A.T.B. voices from the adult Christmas cantata, “Christ the Lord,” begins and ends with a solo. The whole piece asks the basic question, “Where is Jesus in all of our Christmas celebrations?” At last the soloist sings of finding Jesus in their own heart. The music accompaniment is like a tender lullaby. As the music reaches a climax near the end of the piece, an a cappella section accents the question in an interesting way.
