Published by Elizabeth Leehey (A0.889358).Bach's lovely, ethereal opening aria from his "Wedding Cantata", transcribed for flute and clarinet duet, weaves the clarinet (originally vocal) and solo flute (originally oboe) lines in and out of each other like purest silk brocade. The dark shadows of mist rising from the lake make way for the cheerful sprightly dance of the middle section, and then both clarinet and flute are able to soar and shine again with the enchanting melodies of the DC. Both players read from the score. Very satisfying to play.
