Not for beginners, but that's ok. I thought the arrangements a bit odd.

  • May 13, 2011 Worked for us!

My friend and I used this book to play at a wedding and used almost every song in it. I know people are saying Intermediate, but would say that it's perfect for any skill level (there is always room for good intonation and rhythm). In fact, we are college...

violinists and had a little bit of trouble learning it all in a week. I loved the arrangements, which cover the chords both efficiently and artistically. The melodies alternate smoothly between the 1st and 2nd violin parts. I will definitely use it again!

This is a good book to have in your music library. The Menuetto arr. is quite fun to play.

We picked 'air in D', pachelbels canon, 'ode to joy' from this book and really like the arrangement

  • November 29, 2007 Excellent Book

I wouldn't rate this as beginner but perhaps 1.5 to 2 years into learning the violin who be better suited. There should be a rating inbetween beginner and early intermediate as this is where this book should be placed. The arrangements are wonderful. Whoever buys this will be very...

    pleased!
