Tebe poyem. Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Choral octavo. With Language: Church Slavonic. Musica Russica #TA 010. Published by Musica Russica (MR.Ta-010).

With his Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, opus 41, composed in 1878, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (18401893) brought to an end the restrictive censorship of sacred choral music in Russia and opened up the realm of sacred choral composition for contemporaries and followers. His choral writing in Tebe poyem exhibits an air of pious simplicity and reverent devotion that accounts for the perennial popularity of this hymn and the larger opus from which it is taken. (Also available in an arrangements for TTBB choir.).
