George Frederic Handel's Water Music Suites were intended for two or possibly three parties given by King George I on the Thames River in London between 1715 and 1736. On those occasions, Handel and his orchestra played on a barge. Since then, the twenty-two separate pieces that were originally written have been organized into three Suites and nicknamed Water Music. Adapted here for SATB saxophones, this suite features five contrasting movements: Allegro, Hornpipe, Minuet, Lentement, Bourree.
