Arranged by James Shrader. The tune Aberystwyth (Joseph Parry, 1879) and the traditional text by John Bowring (1825) is set for antiphonal choirs and instrumental accompaniment. The instrumental ensemble consists of a double bass (arco) and vibraphone with an incidental oboe solo. This a wonderful piece for Epiphany and can be performed by children or adults. The setting features the double bass in a rollicking ostinato possibly portraying the camel caravan crossing the desert. This piece is also available for antiphonal choirs, oboe and piano.
