    other beginning cello students This book goes beyond the first book in this series is "Stepping Stones" (Open strings, first finger notes and simple rhythms. In Waggon Wheels the 2nd, 3rd and 4th finger notes are introduced along with slurred bowing. The two books after this one are "Fast Forward" and "Shooting Stars".

    My 6 year old son has been thoroughly enjoying all these pieces so far. Although a professional musician myself, I would not call myself a pianist but all these pieces come with simple, but enjoyable piano accompaniments,that even I can play! I just wished there was a book like...

    this one for flute!
