This album is an homage to the irresistible charm of music by Hector Villa-Lobos, that goes from the exuberant Carioco folklore to the contrapuntal rigor of Bach, from the archetypal substratum of the dances of the Indios to the luminescent neatness of the European-like guitar art of Carulli and Giuliani. The music is performed by the Sextuor Mystique Ensemble, consisting of guitarist Andrea Monarda, flutist Davide Chiesa, oboist Emanuel Vitolano, harpist Vanja Contu, saxophonist Nicolo Pantaleo, and celeste player Alessandro Nardin. The group is conducted by Adriano Bassi.
