For Double Flute Choir. Composed by Samuel Scheidt Michael Praetorius. Arranged by Claudia Bissett. Falls House Press #FC-CB4. Published by Falls House Press (PR.FCCB4).

Item Number: PR.FCCB4

With Two Preludes for December, Falls House Press presents a pairing of late Renaissance/early Baroque holiday pieces for double flute choir: Nun kommt der Heiden Heiland by Samuel Scheidt (1587-1621) and In dulci jubilo by Michael Praetorious (1571-1621). Both are meant to be performed by two-part groups of the same instrument, whether they be voices, recorders, or brass, but this edition contains articulations unique to an interpretation by double flute choir. Arranger Claudia Bissett is the arranger, librarian, and bass/contrabass flutist with the Nashua Flute Choir. For intermediate players.

  • Nun kommt der Heiden Heiland  Performed by Samuel Scheidt
  • In dulci jubilo  Performed by Michael Praetorius
