    This is a 20th century organ "classic" and a MUST for any organist lucky enough to play a 3 or 4 manual organ with a bright Tuba Mirabilis or bold solo reed stop. I believe it was written to showcase the solo Tuba on the organ of York Minster. The...

    LP recording by Francis Jackson is still regarded as the "defnitive" version. If you don't like the middle section in 6 sharps,try enharmonically transposing it (e.g.on Sibelius) into flats. Much easier to read!!
