By Douglas Smith

Brass solo trombone
Composed by Douglas Smith. Sacred. Lorenz Publishing Company #PP360. Published by Lorenz Publishing Company (LO.PP360).

Item Number: LO.PP360

Enhance your congregational singing with a trombone fanfare! This collection offers thirty-eight hymn tunes designed to be performed by up to three trombonists. Crafted specifically for trombonists with the slide in mind, these wonderful settings provide a wealth of material for churches of all denominations. Each hymn opens with a fanfare, which can also be used as an interlude. For the stanzas, the melody and two festive countermelodies are provided and can be played in any combination. If resources allow, these selections may be expanded for performance by a brass sextet with the addition of "Trumpet Hymns and Fanfares," also by Douglas Smith. Keyboard and congregational parts not included. One copy required per performer.

These fanfares and interludes are a great way to add interest and a sense of the "majestic" to your instrumental ensemble's worship service playing. Another terrific instrumental resource for church musicians by Dr. Doug Smith!
