    This trio, like the Quintet, Op. 16 has realatively easy to play wind and string parts. Beethoven probably wrote them "down" for his less accomplished friends. BUT, he gave himself no slack when it came to writing the piano part. You need a pretty accomplished pianist for this one. OH...

    , and there are a couple of places in the first movement where the clarinetist's fingers must FLY.

    Dont be scared of the cheaper editions like this one. They are almost identical to expensive ones which include only a few 'authoratative' articulation marks etc. The cheaper ones are simply reprints of the early editions from way back. And if you really are serious about your playing anyway you...

    will hear all the variants out there on recordings and be able to make your own mind up.
