Top 50 Praise & Worship

I've been trying to finding a book of contemporary praise songs for my students who are finishing Level 3 and beginning Level 4 of the Alfred series. I didn't find one offered as part of the series, but this book published by Alfred will be just perfect to...

use for my students who enjoy playing for church and singing these songs for worship. It will give them many opportunities to practice sight reading and counting rhythm. I've played through most of the songs, and the arrangements are very nice. Not too hard, but just hard enough to sound nice. Students in Level 4 will have songs to practice using 1/16th notes and playing in with two flats and sharps, but no songs are more difficult than that. i also like that chords are included to show the students how they used and for future playing with assemble groups that include guitar. I'm very happy I found this book. I'm going to order seven more of them right now!

It's a great book and at a good price. The arrangements are fairly easy but it still took me quite some time to be able to figure out the fingering and play hands together.

I love the songs in this book, but had hoped they would be a little more challenging. I am able to improvise, though, so it is still a very useful book for me.

not to strain the eyes. Before purchasing, I hadn't heard any of these songs. The selections are simply beautiful! You'll enjoy playing and singing along with this praise and worship book. My favorites are Breathe, Hallelujah (You're Love is Amazing), Here I Am to Worship, How Great Is Our God, I Love You Lord, Jesus Messiah, Hosanna (Praise Is Rising), Mighty To Save, and Our God. There are ten other songs in this book I've flagged with post-it notes to learn next! The book is 180 pages so there'll be lots more. The only criticism to share is the book is not spiral-bound. Enjoy!
