Although specifically called "trios" and having listed flute, piano, and cello, the cello part is nothing more than a double of the piano bass. I wasn't interested in Rampal's additions/embellishments to both the piano and the flute parts; I expected three distinctly individual parts. Aside from those...

noted embellishments, this was no different from all the other editions of these sonatas. I play with several adult trios and mixes, as well as solo flute with piano. While these groups are all less than two years old, all the participants are fairly accomplished musicians.
