Inspired by performances heard byHistorically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s). Original bass line, harmonies, and counter melodies have been composed or rearranged. A powerhouse “stands tune” for any middle school level band. Parts are formatted in landscape, 5"x7". As noted in the score, the percussion parts are intentionally sparse. More active drumming/percussion is encouraged at the discretion of director. Key of Bb (concert). First trumpet highest note is 4th space D.
