  • November 26, 2003 Not a Tab Book

If you're looking for tabbed out versions of Police songs you've come to the wrong place. This book is written with the pianist in mind and only has chord diagrams and no guitar parts. Well, that's not entirely true. Since most of the songs presented here are...

guitar driven (unlike "King Of Pain", "Synchronicity 2", etc...) a good part of what Andy Summers is playing is written out here, but if your reading chops aren't good, your progress is going to be very slow. There are way better books out there with Andy's parts pretty clearly laid out and the more advanced ones even have his lead breaks. I can't rag this book. It's well written and pretty accurate. It can provide an interesting challenge to the guitarist who wants to improve his music reading, but really this is packaged for the solo pianist or the pianist who wants to have the guitar as a secondary instrument instead of the lead.
