These beautiful melodies were inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian myth, Nanna and Ningal, a symbolic story representing the process of bringing our subconscious dreams and desires to conscious awareness, then lovingly embracing them within ourselves to manifest them in our world.
The myth of Nanna and Ningal was created to offer an explanation for how those of the past and the present, experience the manifestation and creation of our love.
In the myth, Ningal is a young maiden who is able to interpret and understand the hidden messages of dreams and Nanna, the Moon, is the light that illuminates her inner desire and love. Metaphorically, this myth symbolizes the descent into ourselves to awaken, question, fall in love with, embrace and take responsibility for that which we truly desire to create, our dream.
This Solo Harp arrangement is part of a Chamber Ensemble that includes: Violin, Flute & Cello. Those parts will be available soon.
