"The Streets of Cairo or the Poor Little Country Maid" is a tune first heard at the Street in Cairo exhibit at the World's Columbian Exhibition in 1893. Also known as "the snake charmer's song" or "there's a place in France," this song has been popularly used to accompany belly-dancing and has been heard in numerous cartoons.
