The Sparkler is a solo for Bb Trumpet or Cornet with Piano Accompaniment. It is traditional in style, with plenty for a good cornet/trumpet player to show off their skills and requires advanced level technique of about grade 7/8 (ABRSM). The ingredients for the solo include the full range of the instrument, a pinch of triple tonguing and a healthy dose of nostalgia. The work is intended for concert and recital performances. The accompaniment has been carefully designed to work within the resources of pianists at about advanced intermediate level and above (grade 5+).  The PDF is in A4 format (10 pages) and includes a full score and parts. Duration of the piece is about 3 minutes.

Note that there is a version for soloist and brass band also available on sheet music plus.
