This piece is a very nice arrangement of Sound of Music Songs that is put into one long medley. I had thought it would be separate songs, but it is a medley and I liked it just fine.

Mission: Find a book that includes all of my movie favourites from the Sound of Music. Mission completed. With flying colours. The songs are written to sound exactly like they do in the movie yet still sound nice on the piano. I would certainly reccomend this to piano teachers for...

their students to perform because of its somewhat-difficult qualities but familiar and loveable tunes. The catch: Where on earth is the theme "An Ordinary Couple" from? Not the movie. It's the one thing I don't like about the music. However, there is an easy solution: by skipping from the double bar line at the end of "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and jumping to "Maria," the problem, the music is seemlessly fixed. This music is a wnderful addition to any piano library, and it will be much loved by all who listen to it along with those who play it.

    Difficulty Level:
  • September 10, 2007 Challenging and Satisfying

This piece is perfect for the late intermediate player. It is challengening enough without being too difficult. The interludes between the songs are nice. I would ( and do) tend to shorten the actual songs, especially the first,"Sound of Music" so that my 'audience" doesnt get too bored! Very satisfying...
