The Primary Pianist, Book 1A is a collection of fun, original piano solos composed specifically for early elementary piano students.

In general, the pieces for Level 1A:
• Use stationary five finger positions.
• Have the melody divided between the hands.
• Have no hands playing together.
• Make use of sparse finger number indications.
• Use simple rhythms.
• Have absolutely no eighth notes.
• Usually (but not always) make use of middle C orientation.

Even though these are simple pieces for early elementary piano students, a lot of musicality and skills are packed in. In just these six pieces, students experience:
• Wide dynamic ranges, including pianissimo.
• Music with D.C. al Fine and Fine.
• Fermata, accent, and crescendo symbols.
• Quarter rests and half rests.
• Sharp and natural signs.
• And more!
