He was the youngest ever Pipe Major in the British Army, the first Director of Army Bagpipe Music, and won countless piping competitions. In The Piper's Handbook, he provides a complete guide to all non-musical aspects of the Highland Bagpipes, including its components, maintenance, reeds, set-up, competitions, and much, much more. An essential resource for any Bagpipe player, this book contains rare advice that will be treasured by all who receive it.

This book is smaller than I expected but it does contain a well rounded compilation of information. This is a soft cover about 8" x5" and 39 pages. At first I was disappointed spending $11.95 for the book but inside I found information saving me much more money and time...

than the original cost of the book. my favorite chapter was "setting up a bagpipe". Great for beginning to intermediate pipers.
