  • February 12, 2007 Not the best recording or print quality

This particular recording of the concerto (CD included with the publication) is not very helpful in learning the piece; the piano is not easily heard over the orchestra. Also, the print quality is at best moderate. The notes look a bit like fuzzy black dots. That said, Alfred Publishing has...

some execellent publications. The piano concerto by Schumann (Op.54) is an example of a first rate score. It is spiral bound, the print is wonderful, and it (like the Rachmaninoff concerto) is arranged for 2 pianos.
