The Nutcracker Suite, Op. 71a - One Piano/Four Hands

Where this is not quite at the level of Liszt, it is still challenging enough to rate it as "advanced." These are fun to play if you have two pianists who know what they're doing!

These pieces are as lovely as ever in this 4-hand transcription. My fellow pianist compares them to a 'box of finest chocolates'. The transciption is so exhaustive that it sometimes looks as if a machine did it, and not a real pianist (some chords must be discarded or simplified...

in order to alleviate the music). Intermediate level for the high parts, easy for the low parts. Some pieces are easy on both sides, some are demanding for the high parts.
