This was a little to hard for my level. But I'm looking forward to playing more of it when I improve my skill. Only been playing for 8 months.

  • October 11, 2007 a very good learning tool.

I remember learning these songs, learning, being the key word here.I think the reviews that thot this was difficult know how to play these songs better now and that's fun, and a better player for it. a tip- if the beginner can't reach that B-note with...

your finger try your thumb. but james does have some very talented fingers, so try it again

  • September 14, 2007 It left me wanting

The arrangements were good, but the chords that were used were diagrammed at the beginning of each song, but when it came time to play the chord, they only gave you the name of the chord, not where, or how to play it. I had to photocopy the first page...

several times then cut out the diagram of each chord to help me get throuhg each song.........it was a lot of work...other books, (most other books)do this for you.

  • March 02, 2007 Easy - I don't think so

Either I'm really a beginner, or it's not an easy guitar book. Or James Taylor has the most ambidextrous fingers in the world. Some of the chord pictures seem almost impossible. It's nice to have the actual chord changes, but they seem too hard to play for...

    me.
